Our exciting and growing business is looking for Move Specialists to work with our clients throughout Connecticut. PorchLight Move Management is based out of Madison, CT, serving all of Connecticut.

We are looking for candidates immediately. This is a part-time position. The hours will vary from week to week, with no guarantee of number of hours, but with the potential to grow to 30+ hours per week.

Our ideal candidates enjoy working with and supporting older adults. They have strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task. This candidate is teachable, adaptable to different personalities and situations, a team player and comfortable with technology.



Our Move Specialists provide the following services:

  • Work under the direction of the Team Leader to implement customized move plan. This includes job prep activities such a prepare packing materials, review of documentation and email/calls on as needed basis.

  • Provide superior client service to clients and business partners.

  • Assist clients to determine which belongings to keep, donate, gift, sell, or discard.

  • Professionally pack all items, assist with unpacking and getting client settled in their new home.

  • Initiate and maintain communication with Team Leader throughout job engagement.

  • Utilize project management tools for timely completion of move.

  • Work alongside business partners in support of specific job requirements, such as working with movers, estate sales companies, donation centers, etc.

  • Complete online, in-office, and on-site trainings.

  • Participate in Team Meetings and One on One Meetings with Team Leader and Management.

  • Provide feedback to Team Leader and Management for the best possible service to clients.

  • The ideal candidate will be able to work 4+ days per week (Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm). Some weekends will be required.

  • Must be honest, compassionate, reliable and dependable.

  • Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle, personal computer and personal cell phone.

  • Should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work physically for a minimum of 4 hours.

  • A high school graduate or GED equivalent is required.

  • Must have references, allow for a background check and be insurable/bondable.
